This fully automated instrument is purpose-built for determining the freezing point of engine coolants, including both ready-to-use formulations and concentrated products. Its design rigorously adheres to the specifications set forth in the national petrochemical industry standard SH/T0090-91.
System Architecture
The automatic coolant freezing point analyzer features a modular design that integrates four distinct functional units:
Refrigeration system for the test bath
Heating system for the test bath
Motor-driven stirring mechanism
Color touchscreen-based human–machine interface (HMI)
Cooling Performance
The test bath employs alcohol as the refrigerant medium and utilizes two-stage cascade refrigeration technology. This configuration enables a minimum bath temperature as low as –80 °C, ensuring full coverage of freezing points across all types of engine coolants.
User Interface & Data Management
A high-resolution 7‑inch color touchscreen serves as the control center, offering real‑time visualization of:
Sample temperature trend curve
Instantaneous sample temperature reading
Current bath temperature
From this intuitive interface, users can conveniently:
Adjust the expected freezing point on the fly
Modify the system clock
Run self‑diagnostics on individual components
Save test results for future retrieval and analysis
Thanks to the embedded system design, historical test data can be accessed at any time—supporting long‑term quality tracking and batch comparison with ease.
