The DFYF-317 is designed according to GB/T 3498 (equivalent to ASTM D2265 – Dropping Point of Lubricating Grease Over Wide Temperature Range). This tester is specifically used to determine the dropping point of greases that operate at high temperatures – such as aviation greases, high-temperature bearing greases – with a maximum test temperature of 343°C.

4. Built-in illumination for clear observation
A 6W lamp directly illuminates the dropping point test area, allowing the operator to clearly see the first drop of grease fall – reducing reading errors caused by poor lighting.

The instrument consists of a metal bath heating module, an intelligent temperature controller, a lighting unit, and a dropping point test assembly (test cup, thermometer, etc.). The layout is compact and user-friendly.

Typical Test Procedure (Brief)
Fill the dropping point cup with the grease sample and insert the thermometer.
Place the cup into the test hole of the metal bath.
Select the required test temperature (e.g., 232°C) and start heating.
Once the metal bath stabilizes at the set temperature, observe and record the temperature at which the first drop of grease falls from the cup.
