Gum formation in motor gasoline, aviation fuel, and turbine fuels can lead to fuel system deposits, injector fouling, and engine performance loss. The Colloid Stability Tester (also known as Industrial Colloid Testing Equipment or Colloid Testing Analyzer) is designed and manufactured in strict accordance with GB/T 8019 and ASTM D381 – “Standard Test Method for Existent Gum in Fuels by Jet Evaporation”.
It is suitable for measuring the actual gum content of motor gasoline, aviation gasoline, and aviation turbine fuels during formulation and testing. The instrument can also be used to determine the unwashed gum content of automotive gasoline.
