It is specifically designed to evaluate the foam formation tendency of lubricating oils at elevated temperatures, particularly for automatic transmission fluids and engine oils, under a controlled temperature of 150°C.
Unlike conventional oil baths, this unit features an integrated metal bath construction, offering a compact appearance and simplified handling. A 7‑inch color touchscreen serves as the main user interface, providing intuitive control and clear real‑time feedback. The airflow is regulated by a standard flow meter equipped with a needle valve, covering an adjustable range of 0 to 94 ml/min.
The test procedure is largely automated: after setting the desired air bath temperature on the screen and connecting the device, the operator clicks to start. The system then automatically engages the air circuit, adjusts the flow rate to the preset value, runs the test, and terminates the experiment upon completion.
